PS Kids offers a variety of outstanding developmental programs designed to enhance a child's motor skills and abilities to communicate, interact with others and effectively express themselves. Contact PS Kids for more information on any of our programs!
 
 

Motor Mouths is our center-based Speech Therapy Group focusing on speech and language skills, oral-motor development and social skills. Group size varies from 3-6 children. This program may be funded by private insurance.

  8:30-11:30 am OR 12:15-3:15 pm

How Often:

  1-2 times per week for 3 hours

Based on the nationally recognized Handwriting Without Tears™ Curriculum developed by Jan Z. Olsen, OTR, this course will teach your child a method of handwriting which is neat and proficient. Taught by an experienced Occupational Therapist, or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, your child will improve handwriting skills using fun and unique approaches.

This program is child specific, based on their current ability level and age. Clinics for Fall, Winter and Spring are by request. Our Summer Clinics begin in June and are open to ALL levels of writing.

Teacher Inservices covering handwriting development using the Handwriting Without Tears™ method. This Clinic is tailored to fit your facility's specific needs and offers instruction on how to implement five different levels of handwriting as well as proper techniques for posture, proper instrument grasp, and more!

This 90-minute group is designed for the picky eaters or non-eaters in your life (approximate ages: 18 months to 5 years). It is instructed by an Occupational Therapists and is designed to get your child to touch, taste and eventually eat food.

This class works on:

  • Strengthening the muscles of the mouth needed for eating
  • Decreasing oral and tactile sensitivities
  • Normalizing reactions to food and meal time situations
  • Utensil and cup use
  • Self-Feeding
  • Teaching families how to achieve results at home

Group size is limited.

 
Ages: 
  18 months to 5 years (children will be grouped
  according to age/ability)

  Fridays, 9:30 - 11:00am, 11:15am - 12:45pm or
  1-2:30pm

  Ongoing sessions, 1time per week for 90 minutes

This 75-minute session is designed for children 3-5 years old with phonological processes, speech sound errors, or difficulties in articulation. The group is led by a licensed Speech & Language Pathologist and involves participation in stories, activities, songs and games. Classes take place Wednesday from 3:45-5:00 p.m. This group may be funded in part by your insurance. The cost of the group for private pay is $45 per 75- minute session.
 
 
Each 60-minute session is packed full of movement and sensory exploration including singing, dancing, jumping, and swinging.  Participants will make an art project, get messy, learn how to play and socialize and have fun!  The cost of the group for private pay is $120 per 6-week session.
