Based on the nationally recognized Handwriting Without Tears™ Curriculum developed by Jan Z. Olsen, OTR, this course will teach your child a method of handwriting which is neat and proficient.
Taught by an experienced Occupational Therapist, or a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, your child will improve handwriting skills using fun and unique approaches. This program is child specific and based on their current ability level and age.
Pre-Clinic: Get-Set for School |
- "Crayon-Only" workbook
- Typically 3 & 4 year olds (PreSchoolers)
- Development of correct grasp, and color & shape recognition
- Uses developmental sequence for shapes, pre-strokes, letters & numbers

| Clinic 1: ABC's and 123's |
- Pre-writing & Readiness
- Generally 4 & 5 year olds
- Provides the building blocks for developing good handwriting skills, while focusing on CAPITAL letters
- Helps prevent reversals and reinforces left-to-right and top-to-bottom formation

| Clinic 2: Basic Printing |
- Typically for children who have completed Kindergarten or First Grade
- Focus on lowercase letter formation
- Instills necessary techniques for proficient writing

| Clinic 3: Advanced Printing |
- Typically First and Second Graders
- Basic review of lowercase letter form
- Introduces word spacing and printing on lines

| Clinic 4: Cursive |
- Third grade and beyond
- Teaches proper lowercase letter formation and connections
- Builds on previously learned cursive
|

Group Clinics will run for 8 to 10 consecutive weeks, depending on the level of handwriting.
